16 Creative Art Experiences to Elevate a Luxury Brand Event

Looking for creative ideas to make your next luxury brand activation, corporate event or VIP experience more memorable?

The most memorable events often give guests something they can experience, interact with and take away with them.

Art can become an integral part of the guest journey, transforming a product launch, retail activation, VIP event or corporate celebration into something more personal and distinctive. From bespoke product personalisation and live calligraphy to UV art, creative workshops and interactive installations, there are many ways to bring an artistic element into an event.

I have worked with more than 35 luxury brands, creating bespoke live art and personalisation experiences across fashion, beauty, jewellery and automotive.

Here are 16 creative art experiences that event organisers, agencies and brands can consider for their next event.

1. Live Painting: Make the Creative Process Part of the Event

For Chaumet

A finished artwork can be beautiful, but watching it come to life in real time creates an entirely different experience.

For Chaumet's exclusive Christmas event, I created bespoke painted canvases for VIP guests, allowing the artwork itself to become part of the atmosphere.

Live painting can be used to create a visual centrepiece while guests watch the artist work throughout the event. The finished artwork can also become a lasting piece for the brand, venue or campaign.

2. Live Illustration: Create a Personalised Guest Experience

For Burberry & Dior

Live illustration gives guests something created especially for them.

I have created live guest portraits for brands including Burberry and Dior, adapting the illustration style to reflect each brand's visual identity. Depending on the brief, the artwork can be painterly and colourful, refined and minimal, or more graphic and fashion-forward.

Guests receive a hand-drawn portrait as a keepsake, while the process itself becomes part of the entertainment and atmosphere of the event.

Live illustration is particularly suited to fashion launches, VIP events, store openings, Mother's Day activations and luxury celebrations.

3. Live Calligraphy: Bring Craftsmanship to the Guest Experience

For Montblanc

There is something inherently special about seeing your name created by hand.

For Montblanc, I created live calligraphy using the brand's signature fountain pens, giving guests a stylish and poetic memento that felt completely connected to the brand.

Live calligraphy can also be used to personalise names, cards, stationery, packaging, invitations and gifts.

For luxury brands, it offers a simple yet sophisticated way to bring craftsmanship and personal attention into the guest journey.

4. Chinese Calligraphy: Introduce a Cultural Art Experience

For Porsche

Chinese calligraphy can bring a distinctive cultural and artistic element to a brand activation.

Guests can receive personalised Chinese characters, meaningful words or bespoke brushwork created by hand during the event. Presented in a contemporary way, the experience can feel both traditional and refined.

For Porsche, I created a Chinese calligraphy experience that gave guests a unique and memorable artwork to take home.

This can be particularly effective for international brands looking to create culturally relevant experiences for their audience.

5. Live Engraving: Turn a Luxury Product Into a Personal Keepsake

Personalisation becomes even more meaningful when it is created directly onto the product a guest is receiving.

For YSL, I created a live engraving experience as part of a brand activation, giving guests the opportunity to have their items personalised during the event.

Names, initials and bespoke details can be engraved onto suitable products and gifts, transforming an existing luxury item into something uniquely theirs.

The process itself also becomes part of the guest experience, allowing them to watch their piece being personalised in real time.

6. Gold Foiling: Add an Elegant Finishing Detail

For YSL

Sometimes the smallest detail can make a beautiful difference.

Gold foiling can be used to personalise cards, stationery, packaging, tags and other event materials. The combination of hand-applied detail and metallic finish creates a tactile experience that feels considered and luxurious.

I have created gold foiling experiences for YSLi, where the technique became part of the overall personalisation experience.

It is particularly suited to luxury gifting, fashion events, product launches and premium customer experiences.

7. Custom Initials on Leather: Personalise on leather products

Personalised leather goods make an elegant and lasting event takeaway.

Custom initials can be added to suitable leather products during an event, allowing guests to receive an item that has been individually personalised for them.

Rather than simply receiving a branded gift, the guest becomes part of the personalisation process.

This works particularly well for fashion, beauty, travel and luxury brands where the product itself is an important part of the guest experience.

8. Bottle Painting: Turn the Product Into a Piece of Art

For Jo Malone London & Goldfield & Banks

What if the product itself became the canvas?

For Jo Malone London, I hand-painted botanical designs onto perfume bottles and candles during a brand activation. I have also created bottle painting experiences for Goldfield & Banks.

Each bottle becomes a one-of-a-kind piece while the live painting process gives guests something engaging to watch.

Bottle painting is particularly effective for fragrance, beauty and lifestyle brands because it combines product, artistry and personalisation in one experience.

9. Magazine Cover Painting: Transform Editorial Into a Keepsake

For Glassons

A magazine cover can become something completely unique when an artist paints directly onto it.

For Glassons, I created bespoke artwork directly onto magazine covers, transforming an editorial piece into a personalised artwork for guests.

This concept works particularly well for fashion events, retail activations, store launches and campaigns where editorial imagery is already part of the brand's visual language.

It also creates a highly visual experience that guests naturally want to photograph and share.

10. Custom Gift Box Illustration: Make the Packaging Part of the Experience

For Prada & Dior

Luxury packaging is already an important part of the gifting experience. Adding live artwork can make it even more personal.

For Prada and Dior, I created hand-drawn illustrations directly onto luxury gift boxes for VIP clients. Each box was individually illustrated, making the packaging itself a one-of-a-kind keepsake.

The artwork can be tailored to the guest, occasion, product or campaign, allowing the creative experience to continue long after the event.

11. Personalised Christmas Cards: Make Seasonal Gifting More Memorable

For Chadstone

Seasonal events are a natural opportunity to introduce personalisation and live art.

For Chadstone's Christmas activation, I created family portraits and personalised cards for shoppers throughout the Christmas season.

Rather than receiving a standard seasonal greeting, guests received something created especially for them.

This type of experience works particularly well for shopping centres, retail campaigns, corporate Christmas events and end-of-year activations.

Creative Workshops & Guest Experiences

Not every art experience needs to be something guests simply receive. Workshops allow guests to slow down, participate and create something themselves.

12. Watercolour Painting Workshop

For Tory Burch

For Tory Burch's new collection launches, I hosted a live watercolour handbag sketching workshop where customers created their own beautiful watercolour artwork.

The workshop allowed guests to interact directly with the brand's products while learning a simple creative technique and creating something they could take home.

Creative workshops are particularly effective for VIP events, collection launches and retail activations because they encourage genuine participation rather than passive engagement.

13. Soft Clay Magnet Making Workshop

For Tory Burch

For Tory Burch's Melbourne and Sydney boutiques, I hosted a soft clay magnet-making workshop where guests created their own pieces.

Each magnet was hand-stamped with the Tory Burch logo and the guest's initials, creating a playful yet personalised branded keepsake.

This type of tactile workshop can work beautifully for store openings, collection launches, customer events and activations where the brand wants guests to create something themselves.

14. VIP UV Art Experience: Let Guests create their own artwork

For Chaumet

For a more intimate VIP experience, the creative activity can be designed around the story and craftsmanship of the brand.

For Chaumet, guests were guided through the creation of their own UV artworks, using UV-reactive materials to create an artwork that revealed itself under UV light.

The experience allowed VIP guests to participate in the creative process while connecting the artwork to the sense of detail, discovery and craftsmanship associated with fine jewellery.

This type of bespoke workshop can be particularly effective for VIP events where the goal is to create a more intimate and memorable experience.

Interactive Art Installations

16. Interactive Art Installations: Make Art the Centrepiece

For Pullman Hotels & Resorts

Art can also become part of the environment rather than simply something a guest takes home.

For Pullman Hotels & Resorts, I collaborated on an interactive art installation that invited guests to watch or participate in the creative process.

Large-scale live paintings and digital artworks can become visual focal points within an event, creating something that draws guests into the space and encourages interaction.

For event producers, an interactive installation can be particularly effective when you need a strong visual centrepiece for a brand activation, corporate event or experiential campaign.

Choosing the Right Creative Experience for Your Event

The most effective event activation is not necessarily the most elaborate. It is the one that feels natural to the brand, audience, product and purpose of the event.

Launching a fragrance or beauty product?
Consider live engraving, bottle painting or bespoke product personalisation.

Hosting a fashion event?
Live illustration or magazine cover painting can create an editorial and highly shareable experience.

Planning a VIP event?
Live calligraphy, leather personalisation or a bespoke creative workshop can create a more intimate experience.

Planning a retail activation?
Live portraits, personalised Christmas cards or hands-on workshops can create a memorable customer experience.

Want to showcase craftsmanship?
Calligraphy, engraving, gold foiling or a bespoke artistic workshop can bring the idea of craftsmanship to life.

Looking for a strong visual centrepiece?
Live painting or an interactive art installation can transform the atmosphere of a space.

Want something unexpected?
UV art can create an element of surprise and discovery that guests are unlikely to forget.

The strongest activations are those where the art feels like a natural extension of the brand rather than an element added at the last minute.

Planning a Luxury Brand Activation?

I work with brands, agencies and event organisers to create bespoke live art and creative experiences for luxury brand activations, corporate events, VIP events, retail campaigns, product launches and private events.

My work includes live illustration, product customisation, live calligraphy, engraving, gold foiling, painting, creative workshops and interactive art installations.

Every activation is tailored to the brief, brand aesthetic and guest experience.

For larger activations, I also lead a curated team of illustrators, engravers and calligraphers, allowing us to scale the experience for larger guest numbers while maintaining a consistent and elevated standard.

Based in Melbourne and available across Australia and internationally, I collaborate with brands and event producers to create experiences that bring people, products and stories together through art.
