Geelong for Two Days. Wedding + Adidas. Here's What Happened.

I drove down for work.

Ended up crying in front of a bowl of ramen before the day even starts.

Classic.

Found this ramen place call Sober Ramen near where I was planning to go.

Sat down, ordered a medium spicy ramen, took a bite, thought...

this is definitely not enough spicy and I need more.

Found an innocent looked, grilled jalapeño in the bowl.

Took a BIG bite.

Instant regret.

I'm talking eyes watering,

I finished the whole water bottle in front of me right away.

I finished the ramen anyway because I can and I'm not a quitter.

Moving on.

Had some time before the wedding so I wandered into the Geelong Gallery.

No real plan, didn't research what it is on show, just wanted to look at some art.

I don't do this enough.

Watch art through a screen and watching art in real life is a complete different feeling! Slowing down

and standing in front of someone else's work...

figure out what the artist was thinking,

how the artist created the work.

It was really really enjoyable.

Reminded me why I do what I do, honestly.

Then the wedding for Georgia and Dave at the Caledonia Shores Pavilion Geelong

It is a very intimate wedding with 50-60 guests.

I love smaller weddings cause I know I will be able to get through everyone and I know everyone in the room are their VVIPs.

Set up at the venue,

guests started coming over before I have anything to show,

and I explained what I do and took some quick photos.

Many guests then coming up a little curious,

watch for a bit,

then suddenly they are amazed.

They want to see how their version is done,

how an artist sees them and paints them.

They want to get their own.

Every single time.

That moment never gets old.

As the night go on,

more and more guests were able to see other's sketches

and some of them came to obtain their drawings.

Some of them quietly said thank you with a big smile,

some of them screamed and showed their partners or closest friends,

one of them cried and said "I am sorry, I had 3 kids and this..... this is great"

I often got emotional when they did ...

and I felt so grateful to be the one to bring this kind of joy for my couple's loved ones.

A couple's sketch drawn live at a wedding

Went back to the Airbnb at 12:30am.

Set my alarm for 6am.

Woke up before sunrise for Adidas.

Live calligraphy on shoes, at the Court Clash 2026 in Kardinia Park.

One shoe at a time.

Kids watching,

waiting,

then walking off with something that didn't exist few minutes ago.

Honestly one of my favourite types of work.

Then I drove home.

That was it.

Two days,

one ramen drama,

Geelong gallery,

an intimate wedding,

and Adidas before most people had breakfast.

It was such a fun trip...

and I'm already planning another day trip back to Geelong next month!
