I paint still life in oils, focusing on everyday objects that hold memory and meaning. This work features a ceramic vase and bowl borrowed from a local ceramic artist. By inviting the community to lend me objects, I connect their stories with mine and turn ordinary things into moments worth pausing for.
Oil allows me to capture light, colour, and texture with depth and softness. I am drawn to how light transforms simple objects and fabric into something poetic. My paintings often highlight small details, the curve of a vessel, the play of shadow, that might otherwise be overlooked.
Through still life, I explore how objects can preserve memory and emotion. My intention is simple: to slow things down, to notice beauty in the everyday, and to create paintings that feel intimate, reflective, and quietly joyful.
